DATELINE: OAKVILLE JANUARY 13, 2026
The first night of the 2026 TeaCup thundered in with Yes, Ampersand and Citizens of Trohoc battling it down to the final minute in a tiger-breaking moment. The gradient grey life-forms threw out everything they had in their humanoid back-pocket (squares, songs, other humans) but their cool walk on and Citizen Mark’s prowling was not a match for Ampersand’s Mandolin and reverse-engined scene work.
In the second match, Bald Faced felt the loss of their celebrity teammate Barbosa, down with an incapacitating cough. It wasn’t enough that they were already down one improviser with Armstrong’s serious “travel” injury, without Barbosa’s impenetrable positivity, even the top notch physicality of their silent knitting scene, and their up/down construction workers’ poignant friendship was not enough to squeak out a win against the aging veterans in ABP. All Points Bulletin, pulled of a four-person scene with three people, taking advantage of Kapur’s risk averse game theory, pyramid schemes, and wrapping up with a genre marathon.
