Birthday cake_1398FIRST ROUND: Homemade Marshmallows was finally toasted by Up In Smoke, although only by a half point, 12-11.5. Although the Marshmallows’ golden gooey goodness in Muskoka froze out the Pope Jimmy scene by Smoke, the horse steroid race was unable to catch up to the ever popular Selina Gomez. Team Captain Brodie-Keys admits her teammates were flagging slightly due to low blood sugar, after pre-game marshmallow snacks. In the second half we saw Horse Manoeuvres pull out of the gate strong with ‘entrances and exits’, capturing the best of Kris Bowman’s eye-rolling and computer object work. The Gee Spots blew the audience off their seats with their energy packed “Mr Paper Clip” story that proved that sometimes there is smoke on fire. Horse Manoeuvres three-way dub was time, though and squeezed out the first-letter language scene by the Nee Nots.  No, Nee Nots, nhy? A few Pillars and Puppets later, One-eyed Willy Joe’s busket of medicine brought the team neck and neck with a meat-eating butterfly scene by Gee Spots and the score was TIED: 18.5 – 18.5
