DATELINE, OAKVILLE: February 26th, 2024. Two great teams have left the competition. The update for Feb 26th: Pocket Lint was digging deep for their Sounds Like A Song. This made the audience “aww” and the judges cry, and the scene took the only perfect score of the night. Eye Contact lost their way in a gibberish scene that caught them scrambling for English words, and it was enough to set back their earlier stronghold. Pocket Lint moves on to the match next week with a score of 34 to 29
In the second match, Slam Thunder lost their team member Lisa Butler (like, literally) and she never did end up on the bench. Despite the distraction, the team was laser focussed and gave the 110 percent we’re used to from Bradley Ellis and Terri Skov, seemingly the most caffeinated players in the room. Shambles was also “on” in the match, but several looks away in the Look Look Away scene when they were meant to be not look looking away lost them the match. They did try an incredible hail mary with the near perfect score of 14 for their emotionally charged scene of love, betrayal and singultus. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to push them through to the next round, and Slam Thunder took the game 32 to 28.
