Things are opening up a little. How soon do you think we’ll be back together again? Practice physical improv while at home. Eat something and see if you can copy the movement. For example, how different is it for you to mime eating a hamburger than it is to try mime eating a sandwich? Or anything? How much detail can you put into your physical work? Zoom shows and improv classes are challenging us to listen harder and think deeper but we’re doing a lot of talking. Try using your body to show emotion, activity, reaction (like being hit in the head with a ball by accident). Try using more physicality in your Zoom work. Break legs! But not really … Stay safe and we’ll see you soon. (Hey, check out David Raitt’s new site: Improv Illusionist for more info on Physicality in improv).
